On 9 July 2025, the Porto Metropolitan Area will be conducting the International Seminar “Cultural Networks in a Changing World. What are they and what are they for?”, dedicated to the reflection on the role and relevance of cultural networks in the current context.

At a time when cultural sectors face complex challenges — from digital transition and global crises to new demands for citizen participation and territorial cooperation — this seminar aims to be a space for open and plural dialogue on the role of local, regional, national and European cultural networks in building more resilient, inclusive and sustainable cultural ecosystems.

This will be a unique opportunity to discuss experiences, share best practices and rethink models of collaboration and cultural governance in a constantly changing world.
