The Porto Metropolitan Area (AMP) promoted, on April 13, a working meeting with the Councillors of Social Action and the officers designated by the municipalities, within the scope of the Action Plan for the Disadvantaged Communities of the AMP.
The meeting was coordinated by the Metropolitan Executive Officer for Social Action, Ana Amorim, and aimed to strengthen the collaborative work between the AMP and the municipalities in monitoring social progress at the municipal and metropolitan levels.
During the meeting was presented the technical work already developed by the team of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto, led by Teresa Sá Marques, namely the municipal dashboards, which allow to draw evolutionary portraits of the social, economic and territorial dynamics of the 17 municipalities of the AMP, based on indicators in the areas of socio demography, education, housing, health, income and most vulnerable social groups.
Participants will now have the opportunity to share and validate the first results.
This meeting is part of the AMP’s strategy to strengthen evidence-based planning, promoting an integrated and territorially informed approach to public policies aimed at the most vulnerable communities in the metropolitan region.
