On 9 July 2025, the Porto Metropolitan Area is organising the International Seminar "Cultural Networks in a Changing World, What Are They and What Are They For?", which will take place in Santa Maria da Feira.

At a time marked by great uncertainty and transformation, this meeting is an open call to the national and European cultural and creative ecosystem - culture professionals, artists, formal and informal networks, political decision-makers, researchers, independent structures and public institutions.

The aim is to enhance a shared reflection on the role of cultural networks in building collective and transformative responses. How can we, as a network, tackle challenges such as polarisation, precariousness or exclusion? What culture do we want to defend and build in a changing world?

This seminar aims to go beyond debate: it will be a starting point to reflect upon the theme, present proposals and act - together, as a network.
