Planning and mobility are major issues in land management that are of significant interest to inhabitants, or to those who, although not living in a particular place, use it in the same way, because it is where they work, study, or simply visit.
As structural issues, they often take on a dimension that involves several municipalities and gains metropolitan interest because, even if they do not always involve all 17 municipalities of the AMP, their influence and results end up being relevant to all the municipalities that comprise it. Aware of this reality, the Porto Metropolitan Area, through the Metropolitan Councils of Councillors for Urban Planning and Mobility, maintains a space for reflection and action that translates into inter-municipal projects in which the main stakeholders in the region are called upon to participate.
