The website “Rios” (Rivers) presents the AMP’s dense hydrographic network. Rivers specify structuring systems that guarantee the ecologic connectivity (water, air and biodiversity) within the Porto Metropolitan Area’s territory.

The following rivers are among its most significant ones, with a clear landscape structuring function: Antuã, Arda, Ave, Caima, Douro, Febros, Inha, Leça, Paiva, Sousa, Ferreira, Tinto, Torto and Uíma.
