The action taken by the Porto Metropolitan Area in this new and specific area required in-depth knowledge of youth organisations and the creation of synergies between this supra-municipal structure and youth representative bodies, in order to find coordinated and integrated responses to the local and metropolitan challenges faced by young people.
Meetings were held with various youth organisations, namely: the Porto Academic Federation (FAP), the Federation of the Aveiro Youth Associations (FAJDA), the Federation of the Porto Youth Associations (FAJDP), the National Council for Youth (CNJ) and the Portuguese Institute for Sports and Youth (IPDJ). Partnerships were also established with the National Association for Young Businesspeople (ANJE) and the Portuguese Association of Youth Practitioners (APP Juventude), and close ties were forged with the Youth Foundation and the Erasmus+ Agency.
